About god-database.com
The project
god-database.com is a trilingual academic research infrastructure on the question of God's existence. It catalogs, classifies, and cross-references works, authors, arguments, methodologies, and intellectual traditions — from classical Islamic kalām to contemporary analytic philosophy of religion.
The database currently contains 2,638 works and 1,092 authors, organized around 17 argument families and 105 specific formulations, in English, French, and Arabic.
The founder
Mohamed Ben Jemaa is a senior business analyst and IT governance specialist based in Canada, with over 30 years of experience in data-driven analysis. He holds dual master's degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration (IT Management). He is also the author of more than five published books in Arabic, including Wijhat al-Qalb (The Direction of the Heart), Al-ʿAql Taḥt al-Ḥiṣār (Reason Under Siege), and Al-Ḥiqd al-Siyāsī (Political Hatred). The god-database.com project draws on his professional expertise in structured data analysis and his twenty-year personal research into the question of God across 1,400+ books in three languages — from deep doubt to a personal certainty grounded in methodical rational probability.
Editorial standards
Every entry is produced with AI assistance (Claude by Anthropic) under human editorial direction. Summaries, analyses, and classifications are generated by AI and reviewed by the editorial team. The database does not advocate for any particular conclusion — it organizes the evidence and lets the reader weigh the arguments.
