Editorial biography
Jeffrey Koperski is an American philosopher of science who specializes in the intersection of physics, philosophy of science, and philosophical theology. Currently Professor of Philosophy at Saginaw Valley State University, Koperski has made significant contributions to understanding how contemporary physics relates to theistic belief. His work "The Physics of Theism: God, Physics, and the Philosophy of Science" (2015) examines divine action, design arguments, and the relationship between scientific and religious explanations. Koperski is particularly noted for his analysis of chaos theory and quantum mechanics in relation to divine providence, arguing for the coherence of divine action within scientifically understood natural processes. His scholarship bridges technical discussions in physics with careful philosophical analysis of how scientific theories bear on traditional theistic claims about God's relationship to the physical world.
