Editorial biography
Dustin Crummett (1989–present) is an American philosopher specializing in philosophy of religion, ethics, and metaphysics. He received his PhD in philosophy from the University of Notre Dame in 2016, where he studied under Robert Audi and Daniel Nolan. Currently Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Washington Tacoma, Crummett has made significant contributions to debates concerning divine hiddenness, the problem of evil, and religious epistemology. His work on moral arguments for theism and the relationship between God and morality has appeared in leading journals including Faith and Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Oxford Studies in Philosophy of Religion. Crummett's research is notable for its rigorous engagement with both theistic and atheistic perspectives, employing tools from contemporary metaphysics and moral philosophy to address classical questions in philosophical theology. He has also written extensively on animal ethics and its intersection with religious belief.
