Editorial biography
Stefan Einhorn (1955-) is a Swedish professor of molecular oncology at Karolinska Institute and author who has contributed to the dialogue between science and religion. In "A Concealed God: Religion, Science and the Search for Truth" (2002), Einhorn explores the compatibility of scientific and religious worldviews, arguing that science and faith address different dimensions of human experience and need not be in conflict. Drawing on his background as both a practicing physician and a person of Jewish faith, he examines how modern scientific discoveries can coexist with religious belief. Einhorn proposes that God may be "concealed" within the natural order rather than intervening supernaturally, offering a perspective that seeks to reconcile scientific naturalism with theistic faith. His work represents an important contribution from the Scandinavian context to the science-religion dialogue, particularly in addressing how religious belief can maintain intellectual integrity in light of contemporary scientific understanding.
